To provide Emergency FirstAiders with the knowledge, skills and materials needed to effectively provide employers in the workplace or premises with a reliable FirstAider who is able to deliver prompt, effective and safe first aid care to a casualty and in order to assist HSE-approved first aiders with effective prompt aid using the necessary tools available.

Course Candidates

For regulatory purposes, successfully completing the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will enable the candidate to act as a first aider in the workplace. This programme is accredited by First Aid Industry Body or Qualsafe Awards. Qualsafe Awards has been accredited by the regulators* of England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). *The regulators are Ofqual in England, DCELLS in Wales and CCEA in Northern Ireland.

The First Aid Industry Body (FAIB), a Trade Body (an acceptable option for Employers to choose as per HSE Information Sheet) checks every registered Training Provider to ensure that they will always meet the standards that Employers need to satisfy their Legal Requirements for First Aid provision as required by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
